Are your programs recognized?
Yes. SmartEdge Tech Academy has been established under accreditation granted by The National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE), Republic of Liberia to run certificate programs in Information Technology.
What are the activities for over-all development of student?
Extracurricular activities including seminars, workshops, expert talks, International conferences, industry visits, personality development role-plays, communication skills, other cultural events and sports.
Can I apply as a Lateral Entry Candidate for the Certificate?
Yes, you can apply. You should present the transcript from an accredited institution and the courses from the transcript shall be mapped to our curriculum to determine the equivalence.
Can I transfer credits from another university?
SmartEdge Tech Academy allows the transfer of credits from other accredited universities. The number of credits which can be transferred will be determined by the Evaluation Office. Here again, the mapping will be done to determine equivalence.
Can I come and visit the campus?
Yes. You can visit the campus on any working Day from 08:30 Hrs to 18:00 Hrs and meet our counselors, academic and /or the management team. Please call us to book an appointment if you would like to visit after 18:00 Hrs.
What are the recent achievements and developments at the University?
SmartEdge Tech Academyl has achieved many accolades for its path-breaking approach to higher education. It was among the first one in Liberia to bring internationally Accredited Programs from NIIT, an institution rated among the Top Training institutions by IDC, USA.
SmartEdge Tech Academy was also awarded the Fastest Growing Technological College "A sine qua non to the job market" by Media Against Rejection and Stigma (MARS) on January 28, 2016.
SmartEdge Tech Academy was also the proud recipient of "Outstanding Institution of the Year 2016" by Hot Pepper Newspaper on May 8, 2017.
Can I pay through bank transfer or online?
We do accept payments through cash and bank transfer in the Vocational School Bank account for Tuition fees. Please contact the finance office for account details.
Can I apply for an internship?
Various internship opportunities arise at SmartEdge Tech Academy from time to time. Please contact your Department Head to get a referral for the internship opportunities at the SmartEdge Tech Academy ot any of its ecosystem partners.
What is the Freshman Orientation day?
Freshman Student orientation or new student orientation is a period before the start of an academic session. A variety of events are held to orient and welcome new students during this day.
